Flat 2C still wore the scars of her tantrums – typewriter-shaped dent in the wall, ink stains on our dirty sheets. You don’t expect violence from such a short girl. She tried to negate the reedy girlishness of her body with the shawl and long skirt of an old woman. CONT’D
